Born on the Carolina coast. I can still smell the swamps every time I think about it. A life long collector of music, it was during my time overseas in the service that the radio business started calling me. And it’s been a great ride so far. Radio stations all over the country (east of the Mississippi) but foremost I am a WPLR alum. At one time the best rock station in the country. Worked at a record label for several years. I’ve had the privilege of being an independent music researcher for the past 30 years. Published in 4 books and a handful of national radio specials for major label artist. Highlight……I got to write the liner notes for an Elvis album. Best of all, all of the very talented artist and musicians that I have met over the years. Some who have become friends. Now I’m doing this Southern Accents thing every Friday on Cygnus Radio!
