
Turning the clock back after Daylight Savings Time ends can be trecherous, particularly when it causes the sun to go down even before the work day is over. So we have songs about November, turning back the hands of time, time itself, and the encompassing darkness all around.
But there is cheer, too, in the celebrating the 38th birthday of Courtney Barnett and those of John Barry, Adam Ant and Bert Jansch. And there was an effort to get voters from Virginia, New York and New Jersey to the polls tomorrow.
