THIS IS A PICTURE OF ONE OF THE LAST FIREWORKS BONFIRES IN NEW HAVEN, IN 1980. This was in the intersection of Canner and Orange. I lived in one of the very old, very wooden, very fire-prone 3-floor homes within landing range of said fireworks. Luckily, I didn’t die in a house fire that night.
